It is the ultimate do-it-all bike. It rides up smooth, descends fast and in control. Irah's Chameleon is sweet and solid. And surpisingly light.
To get your own Santa Cruz bike, come in to the shop, pick out a frame (and colour), fork and parts kit to build your dream bike! There's already a bunch of riders on the Rock that ride them, and love them. |

Woohoo! We've done our first couple of kayak tours with the new boats and guides. It went great! Jasmine really does well with the customers and the weather has certainly cooperated. As we progress we are getting the organization of the gear dialed. It really is the area we can streamline the most in. Check out the awesome day we had today!

The workshop went great! About a dozen folks showed up. Even Brian from Regional District showed up on his bike. After a tailgate safety training session we loaded up and started walking in to the trail. Yana had brought Arly and Ian brought Olive the Dog. Good crew!

The Vancouver Island Cup Race Series has been announced. It looks like a great lineup this year and the move to the Grassroots MTB Association organization is a good thing. This is from their website : "Vancouver Island has been home to many classic mountain bike races over the history of the mountain bike, and with 2008 we mark over 20 years of racing and hopefully a push towards many more years of racing. A new insurance group, new reduced fees, more events and hopefully more fun will make this a wonderful year of racing. If you're a first timer, seasoned pro or just out to have some fun we would love to see you experience mountain bike racing on Vancouver Island."

"A bike can change a life in a poor country. It can make it possible for a young person to be able to get to school, for a healthcare worker to triple the number of visits in a day, or for a worker to be able to get to a job. Yet for millions of low-income people, a new bicycle is financially out of reach. A bicycle project like this can create a clean, affordable, sustainable transportation infrastructure that empowers a whole community. Income from this project is used by our Nicaraguan partner group to finance vocational training for street youth." How can you help? Info after the jump... |
