Jer’s Continuing Adventures…

Having spent many years in the corporate world in Vancouver, I’ve come back to Hornby to live my dream. To own the best bike shop on the coast and to build up a thriving bicycle community. It’s happening as we speak!

I grew up on Hornby as a child and did the majority of my schooling in Vancouver. After spending a couple of years in Australia I came back to being a bicycle messenger, an Office Depot drone, a bike shop wrench/manager, a yoga instructor, a bike Race Timing technician and a graphic designer for Norco Performance Bikes. Things are quieter now that I’m only a bike shop owner, Firefighter, Parks Committee member, cycling advocate, graphic designer and Macintosh Computer educator.

My daughter Kaetlyn is the most amazing person I know, and I know a few amazing people. She lives in Toronto with her mom. Kaetlyn is into music, creativity and lots of reading (I wonder where she gets that?).

I am partnered in Hornby Outdoors Ltd (the bike shop you may know as Hornby Island Outdoor Sports) with Irah Vet. Between us we are making this shop a growing concern. Come on in a say Hi!
