The Big Kahuna has arrived!

Kona Big KahunaIn the world of Mountainbikes there has always been a couple of wheel size standards. For the majority 26″ wheel bikes are the norm, for some a 24″ wheel makes sense. Welcome to the new standard! 29″ of sweet, trail eating wheel coming at ya! The 29″ wheel standard has been around for a handful of years and is just beginning to hit it’s stride in the mainstream. Case in point, Kona (and most bike manufacturers) now offer 29″ versions of their most popular models. Read more after the jump…

The advantages of the 29″ wheel format are that they roll over obstacles much easier and smoother, they have a bigger contact patch so have much better traction, and they climb like they have wings.

The shop now has a Kona Big Kahuna in as a Demo bike that you are welcome to come and test ride! Throw a leg over and find out what the 29er revolution is all about!
